“Jeonju Bike Course Breezy Path Welcome spring with a ride along the cool river stream”

Wonsek Village Jeonju Martyrs’ Mountain Shrine (Peace Hall rental station) Hanbyeokgul Tunnel
I visited this place with a friend who enjoys cycling as a hobby.
This is the first time both my friend and I are biking on this path, so we set off excited.

Since I don’t own a bike, I decided to rent a Kkotssing-i.

I went to the Peace Hall rental station near Jeonju Martyrs’ Mountain Shrine,
This site features a spacious parking lot and bathrooms, making it convenient for those who bring their bikes from far away.

How to use Jeonju’s public bike, Kkotssing-i
1. Visit a rental station. (There are 10 locations in total)
2. Rent a bike for one or two people.
3. Pay by cash or bank transfer.
4. Just check the text message at the time of rental and return, and you’re set.

I rented a single bike. They also provide a helmet.
If the helmet doesn’t fit, you can request an immediate exchange.

I immediately headed to Wonsek Village following the path beside the river.

Gradually, the buildings disappeared, and I ran looking at the low houses and the widening stream of water, and I arrived faster than I thought.

There are safety signs for cyclists at several points.
You should dismount and walk your bike when crossing a bridge.
I crossed two different bridges because I took a different route back.

This allowed me to directly view the stream from the bridges.
The straight road from Jeonju Martyrs’ Mountain Shrine to Wonsek Village is easy for biking.
The road on the other side is less crowded but slightly rough.

This path is also known as ‘Pet Friendly Road’, and is also known as the Hanok Village Dulle-gil Road.

I passed by Jeonju Martyrs’ Mountain Shrine again heading towards the Hanok Village.
When you spot the Natural Ecology Center rental station, Hanbyeokgul Tunnel is just ahead.

People were already here taking photos this morning. I quickly snapped a picture and moved on to make space for others.

I also went up to Hanbyeokdang Pavilion nearby.
From there, you can see the route you came on. To get to Hanbyeokdang Pavilion, I parked my bike on the road and walked up and back.

The day was warming up, so I ended up taking off my jacket.
The view might seem a bit cold, but plan your Jeonju bike trip early for the quickly warming spring!
