I visited Jeonju Zoo and its amusement park DreamLand where people of all ages could find pleasure even in the cold winter. Today, I embark on a journey to Deokjin Park, where I once knew simply as a recreational area for Jeonju citizens, seeking to explore and learn about its historical trails. Deokjin Park is a representative healing spot for local people of Jeonju and located near Jeonbuk National University. Before starting my journey, I’d like to explore the significance of the Donghak Peasant Movement and the role of Jeonju as a cradle for the uprising. Jeonju Ogeori Culture Plaza. Feel the Christmas atmosphere at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. What first comes to mind when December arrives? Perhaps it’s Christmas? As the Christmas season approaches, trees and decorations that create a festive atmosphere start appearing everywhere. I attended the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and worship service at Jeonju Ogeori Culture Plaza. The event started at 5:30 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Despite the cold weather, blankets, cushions, and hand warmers were provided at each seat as a warm gift. The annual Christmas tree lighting event is hosted by the Jeonju Christian Federation and Jeonbuk CBS at Ogeori Culture Plaza. The 2024 Christmas tree lighting worship was conducted in four parts: pre-event, worship, congratulatory messages, and lighting ceremony, lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The grand finale, the Jeonju Makgeolli Festival, was held at the Jeonju Sports Complex from October 25, 2024 (Friday), to October 26, 2024 (Saturday). I visited the Jeonju Makgeolli Festival on its first day to enjoy the Makgeolli Abundance Ritual (Hapgut Village) and the Hidden Show with friends. I’ll give you a glimpse of the scene!
