Visit Jeonju Hanok Village with Jeonbuk Tour Pass

Today, I’ll introduce the most economical way to visit Jeonju Hanok Village: Jeonbuk Tour Pass. The pass lets you visit major attractions in Jeonju and the surrounding region for free. The pass also comes with discounts at various accommodations, gourmet restaurants, and cafés. There are different types of the pass. So today, I’ll visit Jeonju Hanok Village with the pass. I purchased the 24-hour pass for Jeonju Hanok Village, which lets me visit six attractions for free or with discounts.

Luielle Hat Culture Center

Luielle Hat Culture Center boasts collection of hats from around the world. Also, you can try on different types of hats and take photos. Children love this place. Those holding Jeonbuk Tour Pass is exempt from the entrance fee, which is 3,000 won.

Jeonju Ecomuseum

The theme of Jeonju Ecomuseum is the local nature. I really liked the colorful fish exhibition here. Here also, with Jeonbuk Tour Pass, I got free entrance instead of paying 2,000 adult entrance fee.

Late Autumn at Jeonju Hanok Village

Gyeonggijeon Shrine and Royal Portrait Museum

Gyeonggijeon Shrine is the most popular attraction in Jeonju Hanok Village. It has many spots where the visitors can take great photos against a stone wall or hanok building. The shrine also hosts Royal Portrait Museum, exhibiting the royal portraits and related relics. Thanks to Jeonbuk Tour Pass, I didn’t have to pay the 3,000 won (adult) entrance fee!

Gyeonggijeon Shrine open year-round, but Royal Portrait Museum is closed on Mondays

Wanpanbon Culture Center

Jeonju has been the center of publishing since ancient times. Wanpanbon Culture Center celebrates and holds exhibitions on the history and culture of traditional publishing. Those holding Jeonbuk Tour Pass can experience the traditional wood-block printing (otherwise 3,000 won) for free.

Jeonju Sori Culture Center

Jeonju Sori Culture Center is filled with the sounds of traditional Korean music and songs. I also loved the exhibition of various traditional musical instruments and stuffs for performances. Those holding Jeonbuk Tour Pass can access various exhibitions and performances held here for free. I recommend visiting here when this COVID-19 crisis is over.

Jeonbuk 100 Tourist Souvenirs

Located in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeonbuk 100 Tourist Souvenirs is the store selling unique local souvenirs. If you hold Jeonbuk Tour Pass, you’re entitled to one Choco-Pie, a famous sweet dessert from Jeonju. Also, if you hold Jeonbuk Tour Pass (instead of Jeonju Hanok Village Pass), you get 10% discount.
