Let me introduce Jeonju Cafe with a good atmosphere recommended by locals.

Korea’s 2025, the Year of the Blue Snake, has begun.

For those who plan to visit Jeonju in this new year,

here are three cafes recommended by Jeonju residents.

| WORKERBEE (House of B) <In the vicinity of Hanok Village>

The first place I’d like to introduce is WORKERBEE, a honey-specialty café near Hanok Village. WORKERBEE is so popular that they say it comes to mind when you think of Jeonju.

Its location is on the main road next to Pungnammun Square in the direction of Nambu Traditional Market. You won’t miss it.

As you see in the photo, they offer a variety of honey products.

From some goods created from the café menu to everyday items you can enjoy at home, this café arouses your curiosity from the entrance.

The interesting thing is that paint buckets are served as shopping baskets.

As in the picture, there are a diverse of specialized goods and items of WORKERBEE on the first floor, so it’s nice to look around.

The inside of WORKERBEE, a café near Hanok Village, is divided into 1st and 2nd floors. Although this place was renovated from a residential house, each space is separated with its own special charm, so it feels like that visitors can enjoy more private and relaxing mood.

After exploring the interior of Café WORKERBEE, I ordered what seemed the café’s popular menus for drinks and I also got a pudding for a dessert.

On the first floor, designated seats for wheelchair users or pet owners are prepared. Please keep that in mind when visiting.

My drinks are ready. Sitting on a seat with a view of Pungnammun Gate of Jeonju and enjoying my tea time, I felt the landscape even more picturesque today.

WORKERBEE Honey Coffee was topped with pollen, so its flavor was really unique, but well-balanced on the whole. I could smell a subtle cinnamon scent from the seasonal Ginger Café Latte, so it was familiar and pleasant. Maybe unlike regular puddings, this rice pudding was made from rice, I felt like the taste would be different depending on the added honey.

So far, I’ve introduced Café WORKERBEE for those who plan to visit Jeonju Hanok Village. It’s a fantastic place to take a rest and experience abundant items.

I bet you can make great memories in here.

| Hanol <In the vicinity of Deokjin Park>

My second recommendation is Hanol, a Hanok-style café with a fantastic view.

This place is located near Deokjin Park, one of the most iconic tourist spots of Jeonju.

As not only the external but also the inner space of Café Hanol reflect the Hanok style, you can feel a strong traditional vibe of Korea.

A variety of menus is also available for ordering.

You can choose among a wide selection of desserts, and they also offer drinks customized for children, so it’s a perfect place for the whole family to get together.

With my ordered Vanilla Latte, Americano, and a selection of desserts including bun, brûlée, and sausage bread, I took a seat with the best view Café Hanol could provide.

From this place, you can appreciate the landscape of Deokjin Park. As a Jeonju citizen, the scenery felt quite nostalgic and impressive when I looked at the whole view of Deokjin Park, which recently had undergone a great transformation.

For visitors to Jeonju Deokjin Park, I’ve introduced Café Hanol with a magnificent view. If you visit there on a fine day, I guarantee you’ll create excellent memories.

|  Café 16 Hours <In the vicinity of the National Jeonju Museum>

The last place I’d like to introduce is Café 16 Hours located near the National Jeonju Museum. The signature menu of this café is exceptional baked sweets.

Café 16 Hours is situated right beside the main entrance of the National Jeonju Museum alongside a GS25 convenience store.

On the stairway laid from the entrance to the second floor are adorned with bamboo decoration, engraved name of Café 16 Hours, and dried flowers.

Using warm yellow lighting in the interior, Café 16 Hours also creates a cozy and fantastic atmosphere.

The baked sweets and desserts sold at Café 16 Hours are made in-house.

I’ve visited this spot for countless times because the unrivaled taste of the baked cookies was unforgettable.

This café provides reasonably priced menus, beverages for children, and seasonal dishes. After placing my order, I took some time to look around the space.

This scene is from the 2nd and 3rd floors of Café 16 Hours. Numerous seats are furnished, and private spaces are also available for more comfortable experience.

You can find intriguing interior props at every corner of the place. If you happen to visit someday, it would be fun to explore the space on your own to see if there’s any other hidden design concept.

The staff directly served my ordered food. The drinks of Café 16 Hours were tasty, but the best was the baked sweets. Especially, the financier had an exceptional texture and flavor.

If you visit the National Jeonju Museum, I highly recommend dropping by the nearby Café 16 Hours to spend a delightful and savory time.

“Wrapping up PIC49”

Up until now, I’ve introduced three cafes near tourist attractions during your trip to Jeonju.

I hope you keep paying attention to Jeonju in 2025, and I’ll do my best to share diverse charms of Jeonju with you.
