If you plan a trip to Jeonju, explore Jeonju Zoo and DreamLand filled with joy!

I visited Jeonju Zoo and its amusement park DreamLand where people of all ages could find pleasure even in the cold winter.

This photo shows the entrance of Jeonju Zoo, the third largest zoo in South Korea, following those in Yongin Everland and Seoul Grand Park.

In front of the entrance, a spacious parking lot is available and multiple city buses to the zoo are also in operation, so this place is easily accessible during Jeonju tour.
Before entering, you need to purchase an entry ticket at the ticket booth.
The admission fees are quite affordable: 3,000 won for adults, 2,000 won for teenagers, and 1,000 won for children.

Although Ipchun, the onset of spring, has passed, a chilly winter scenery is still noticeable in Jeonju Zoo.
However, as spring arrives soon, you can see the lush greenery of tree-lined path stretching from the zoo entrance.

After passing through the tree zone, you’ll find benches to sit and relax as well as the photo zone to take pictures of joyful children.

This picture shows the picnic venue of Jeonju Zoo.
On warm spring days, travelers to Jeonju often head to Jeonju Zoo with a handmade delicious lunch for a picnic.
During a picnic season, I found this spot fully occupied every time I visited.

Jeonju DreamLand is situated inside Jeonju Zoo.

Although being a small-scale, this amusement park attracts families from various locations on weekends.

Jeonju DreamLand has more than 10 rides, including the Haunted House, Flying Saucers, Flying Ducks, Flying Swings, Cheongryong Roller Coaster, Sky Bicycles, Viking Ship, Electronic Fighter Planes, Carousel, Giant Ferris Wheel, and Bumper Cars.
Most of these attractions are designed for children. Besides, the ride fees are so affordable that you can enjoy a fun and fulfilling moment without any financial stress.

If you’ve had a blast at DreamLand, it’s time to move to Jeonju Zoo.

On leaving from the theme park, the first animal I encountered was Mouflons and from a distance, I also spotted an elephant residing in the elephant residence located in a little upper field.
Animals are said to hesitate to come outside during freezing days, but maybe the temperature became milder on this day, quite a few animals appeared.

I was able to see a kangaroo and even raccoons taking a nap.

All over Jeonju Zoo, there were crowds of families being entertained by observing the animals.
The pedestrian paths are properly built, making it comfortable to stroll around with a baby carriage.

All along the trail, I also dropped by the raptor residence.
The sizable transparent window enabled me to observe the eagle up close like this.

Thanks to the warm afternoon weather, I also could see tigers leisurely taking a nap.

The cute guinea pigs and a fennec fox also enjoyed drowsing.
Although winter chills still remained, I could get a glimpse of appearances of numerous animals throughout the zoo.

Among them, the monkeys, the most active ones, caught my eye.
There were also Brazza monkeys, differentiated by its orange diadem on their foreheads.

I could see a lioness and a male lion, one of Jeonju Zoo’s main attractions.

At the nearby bear enclosure, Ezo brown bears were seen.
Maybe because the bear habitat was newly relocated, the space seemed to create pleasant environment.

There are multiple animal enclosures with transparent glass panels in Jeonju Zoo, allowing visitors to study the animals closely.
If you’re considering a family vacation with kids or a trip to Jeonju, make sure to come by Jeonju Zoo and DreamLand to create blissful moments!
