Experience Jeonju Hanok Village at the tail end of autumn.
It suddenly feels like autumn, and it seems to be passing by quickly these days.
This year, it feels like autumn in Jeonju is shorter than before. I’m trying to quickly capture the autumn scenery of Jeonju Hanok Village, a well-known tourist spot, in photos.
“Experience Jeonju Hanok Village at the tail end of autumn.”
The Hanok Village in autumn welcomed us with warm sunshine and a clear blue sky.
Although I am a local from Jeonju, today I decided to think of myself as a tourist and explore various places.
| Omokdae and Cheongyeollu, Jeonju Hanok Village
After parking in the public parking lot, I wanted to get a panoramic view of Jeonju Hanok Village, so I headed towards Omokdae.
As I climbed up to Omokdae, I enjoyed the refreshing feeling of the hike and the peaceful singing of birds, since I arrived early.
From a high vantage point, the Hanok Village was striking, with its distinctive roof tiles.
Next, I visited the riverside area where Cheongyeollu is located.
This location is favored by locals for relaxation and walks.
Even in summer, the area around Cheongyeollu in the Hanok Village, with benches under the trees, offers a perfect space for autumn reading.
The riverside path near Cheongyeollu in the Hanok Village has tall, beautifully grown reeds, making it an excellent spot for photography.
That day, after waiting for the sunset, I captured the dusk reed fields in photos with a friend.
| Jeonju Hanok Village Cafe – Neoui Goyo
I decided to take a break at the Hanok cafe ‘Neoui Goyo’ near Cheongyeollu.
Savoring tea and dessert in the Hanok Village helped relieve some of my stress.
After a short break, I headed back towards Taejo-ro, the main road of Jeonju Hanok Village.
The scenery along the way made it feel as though autumn had fully arrived at Jeonju Hanok Village, enveloping it in a cozy atmosphere.
Taejo-ro was peaceful in the morning.
The autumn weather was perfect for walking down the streets lined with trees showing off their fall colors.
By sunset, Taejo-ro was teeming with people.
With its numerous attractions and eateries, Jeonju Hanok Village remains incredibly popular.
| Jeondong Cathedral
Jeondong Cathedral is a key landmark of Jeonju Hanok Village.
Unfortunately, as of November 2024, entry is limited to pilgrims only.
| Jeonju Hanok Village Cafe – Chakyung
Jeonju Hanok Village boasts a variety of charming cafes.
The cafe was called Chakyung, offering yanggaeng, monaka, and various teas, with a pleasant outdoor seating area that caught the sunlight.
The cafe also featured a beautifully decorated photo zone that seemed perfect for making memories with loved ones.
How did you find autumn in Jeonju Hanok Village with its traditional roof tiles, hanbok, and stone paths?
I wanted to capture everything in photos, but it’s a pity I couldn’t include it all.
I think Jeonju Hanok Village is beautiful in autumn and a wonderful place to visit in any season.
Like a random encounter with a ‘Cookies & Cream’ cat in the Hanok Village, I hope this post inspires you to visit Jeonju Hanok Village.
