Jeonju Hanok Village Hotels: Lahan Hotel and Wangyijimil
Today I’ll introduce two hotels for your trip to Jeonju. They are great when exploring Jeonju Hanok Village. Lahan Hotel is renowned for the magnificent view overlooking Jeonju Hanok village. Wangyijimil is a hanok hotel that offers various cultural experiences. They’ll offer great stays during your vacation in South Korea.
Lahan Hotel: Jeonju Hanok Village view
At the lobby of Lahan Hotel Jeonju, you can buy books on Jeonju and try some local beers and some local dishes. You may spend time at the café too.
Lahan Hotel is renowned for the view overlooking Jeonju Hanok Village. Even from the lobby, you can enjoy the view of the hanok buidlings.
The pool is located on the second floor of the hotel. The children’s pool is shallow enough for a 4-5 year old. The adult pool is quite deep for children. The visitors can order poolside cocktails from bungalows or sunbeds.
The view from the pool stretches all the way across Jeonju Hanok Village, even to Jeondong Cathedral, which is at a distance. The visitors are allowed to use big tubes or squirt guns.
Hanokdang is a café located next to the pool. The distances among the tables are wide and the windows open towards Jeonju Hanok Village are big. Also, the visitors can order poolside beverages and signature desserts. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, the café offers three hours free parking. I believe this is the most comfortable spot to enjoy the view over Jeonju Hanok Village.
Lahan Hotel is all about the view overlooking the hanok buildings. Even the lower floors have great view of Jeonju Hanok Village. When you book, I suggest staying at a room with a hanok view. I’m sure it’ll be an unforgettable stay during your visit to Korea.

Wangyijimil: staying at a hanok building
If you’re interested in staying at a hanok building I recommend Wangyijimil. The hotel premise consists of several two-story hanok-style buildings (instead of the traditional hanok building). During the summer evenings, it’s nice to walk around the premise and take photos against the hanok buildings.
The rooms of Wangyijimil are also hanok style. Also, the scent of the cypress tree fills the room. The wooden ceilings and the painted walls feel very special. It would be nice to spend some time in one of these comfortable rooms with the family. There are rooms that have separate bedrooms.
There’s also a lounge that offers wines and nibbles. In the hotel café, the guests can order the red bean shaved ice, the most popular summer dessert in Korea. The café is open to both the staying guests and the café guests.
Wangyijimil offers both traditional plays (ex. Korean traditional swing) and nature in its premise. Away from the bustling Jeonju downton, Wanyijimil offers relaxing stays. Hence, the hotel is very family-friendly.
