Discover Jeonju in a Day: A Guide to the City’s Hot and Secret Spots

  • Trendy brunch café <Letters from positives>

The first stop on the Jeonju travel course is , a fantastic brunch restaurant for a satisfying morning or midday meal.

Located on the second floor of the building directly opposite the Pungnam Tourist Hotel in Gaengnidan-gil, this brunch café seems like an easy and enjoyable option to kick off your travels or a romantic outing.

I went as soon as it opened, and being a popular spot it got crowded very quickly.
If you want to savor a leisurely brunch, it’s best to arrive a little before the usual lunch hour.

According to the owner, the ‘Dutch Baby’ brunch is the most popular dish here.
I chose the ‘Dutch Baby Deli’ and the ‘Scrambled Egg Plate’ brunch options along with an Americano.

On the right is the Dutch Baby Deli, and on the left is the Scrambled Egg Plate.
Now I see why the Dutch Baby is the top pick!

Tasting it myself, the balance of flavors felt even more excellent with the bursts of fresh tomato in between helping to cut through any potential heaviness.
The Scrambled Egg Plate was also a very satisfying and truly wonderful choice.

If you’re a brunch enthusiast or drawn to European vintage vibes, <Letters from positives> is my first Jeonju travel recommendation for a truly delightful brunch.

  • An Espresso Bar That Embraces the Seasons <Cafe DID>

Our next stop is <Cafe DID>, an espresso bar that’s considered one of the top coffee spots in Jeonju.

The prices here are really reasonable. With coffee prices often rivaling the cost of a meal, you can just pay 8,000 won for three drinks – a Cafe Mocha, Mini Vienna, and Affogato.

What’s more, they also offer seasonal specialty drinks each month, giving you a chance to try a variety of coffees.

While waiting for my coffee, I looked around the shop and noticed this place had a lovely minimalist feel with lots of adorable little decorations.

From left to right, these are the Mini Vienna, Cafe Mocha, and Affogato.

The Mini Vienna can be understood as Vienna coffee served in an espresso cup.
It allows you to experience both the rich flavor of the coffee and the creamy, nutty notes.

The Cafe Mocha offers a wonderful blend of coffee’s aroma and chocolate’s sweetness. As for the Affogato with ice cream and espresso, it’s more approachable way for those who usually find espresso too bitter.

  • A Charming Souvenir Shop Brimming with Cute Goods <Object>

The third stop on Jeonju travel itinerary is <Object>, a charming store overflowing with everything from office goods and cute little items that I find irresistible.

It’s situated in a quiet side street across from the Jeonju Joy N Cinema.

This store boasts a wide array of popular Korean characters including Choi Goshim, Quokka, and Mulleongi.

Additionally, with a wide selection of office goods here such as sticky notes and writing instruments, this shop is also a great place for office workers to pick up necessary items.

While exploring Jeonju, be sure to find the adorable trinkets and souvenirs at Object tucked away in a peaceful alley.

  • A Place Touched by Time <Geumseongdang>

Our final Jeonju travel destination is , Jeonju’s first-ever watch shop with a rich history.

This place, though no longer an operating watch shop, has transformed into a complex cultural space in Jeonju, offering visitors an opportunity to reflect on the value of fleeting moments.

Within this spot, you’ll find Geumseong Books and the Geumseongdang Store. If you want to use Geumseong Books, a reservation via Naver is required prior to your visit.

The Geumseongdang Store is situated in the building just beside Geumseong Books.

Here, they sell a diverse selection of goods such as perfumes, air fresheners, postcards, watches, to notebooks.
Additionally, they even have a designated space for writing letters.
If you visit Geumseongdang, why not write a letter for yourself or for someone you love?

Today, I’ve recommended a day trip course for Jeonju, featuring a tasty brunch, a fragrant cup of coffee, a lovely souvenir shop, and a thoughtful space for writing letters.
Enjoy your visits to these spots at your own pace, and I wish you a day of small joys.
