Great Viewpoints of Jeonju Hanok Village: Omokdae, Jaman Mural Village, Hanbyeokdang, Cheongyeonru

It’s been hot during the day, but in the evening, it usually gets nicer with some cool breeze. Today, I’ll introduce the most popular viewpoints in Jeonju Hanok Village where you can enjoy some great view and breeze.

Omokdae & Imokdae

Omokdae and Imokdae are places where Taejo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty, held a banquet after victory against the Japanese Invasion of 1380. The two places are very close to the main streets of Jeonju Hanok Village. The view from the Imokdae Pavilion overlooks Jeonju Hanok Village.

From the Omokdae deck viewpoint, you can see not just Jeonju Hanok Village, but the whole Jeonju.

Jaman Mural Village

It’s a very short walk from Omokdae and Imokdae to Jaman Mural Village. Walk up the stairs of the village, you’ll come across beautiful roses and colorful murals.

The alleys of Jaman Mural Village is like travelling back in time to your childhood. The alleys are conveniently connected to each other, so you won’t even need a map.

Hanbyeokdang

Hanbyeokdang is a pavilion on a cliff over the Jeonjucheon River. This view from here is very picturesque, like in an ancient Korean ink painting.

Hanbyeokdang is also a good spot to enjoy the cool breeze flowing over the river.

Cheongyeonru Pavilion

Cheongyeonru is a pavilion built in the middle of the Namcheongyo Bridge. This spot is particularly frequented by the locals seeking shelter from the summer heat.

The view from Cheongyeonru is spectacular with the mountain, the river, and the Hanok buildings. The nightview from here, with the elegant lightings, is also very famous.

This week, I introduced great scenic viewpoints in Jeonju Hanok Village. Why not spend some summer evenings at Jeonju Hanok Village, cooling down while enjoying great views?

Families going to holidays or young people going just to freak out, if the location is appropriate having a fun time is totally within the reach of all. Jeonju is a city rich in diversity.

    Must see in Korea.
Hanok Village Jeonju is combined of series beautiful traditional house of Korea.
The guide said that there are about 700 hanok houses at here, and some of which has rooms to stay for tourists, but the price is more expensive than the same level hotel. However, I booked one night to stay because I want to see sunrise and discovery nightlife at here. For me, the village is the most attraction place with historic lover, and the scene of sunset or sunrise are stunning.

    💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
One of the popular and best viewpoints of Jeonju Hanok Village. Omokdae, located on top of the hill but very easily accessible, is a must-go if you wish to get a bird’s eye view of Jeonju Hanok Village
    💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
This place is located on top of a hill and is one of the places where the King Taejo celebrated his victory against Japanese invaders.
It needs a short walk from Jeonju Village.
It’s on the way for (Jaman Mural Village).
I went there in august, in a really hot day, and was very pleasant take a little rest under the pavillion.
From here where you can look down the Hanok village, but I think it’s not the best view on the Village.
